INCREASE Your Profits By Cutting Your Costs ...

Which do you think is easier to do - reduce your expenses or increase your sales?

I think many of us would agree that cutting our expenses might be easier. Why, then, do most people spend such a small amount of time on reducing their costs?

Consider this: If your current profit margin is 10% and you reduce costs by 10%, do your profits DOUBLE?

It’s incredibly simple to do … NEGOTIATE!

Just ask … You will be pleasantly surprised at how frequently a vendor will negotiate and lower their pricing to retain your business. You can also apply this cost-cutting mission at home too. It's liberating ... SPEND LESS, SAVE MORE!

At Red Rock, we are specialists at dramatically lowering your printing costs on nearly every print item you purchase.

Our clients love to share with us what they are currently paying for a specific print project just to see how much we will save them … And, they take advantage of it too ... WE SAVE THEM MONEY!

Try it ... See for yourself … Email me direct at: redrockprintinc@aol.com for a FAST, cost-savings, printing estimate.

Deal With Customer Complaints ...

Here's why ...

Many people have developed an automatic response shrug by saying, “Oh well, you can’t please all the people all the time."

Hmmmm, maybe that is true sometimes, OR, maybe you can!

If you give the person that has a complaint the same level of attention, respect and interest as you would an important sale to a client (or a pitch to
your boss), you will satisfy the person vs. causing more stress and I promise you will be surprised by how many times you reap the benefits
of being a good listener and a problem solver.

You will help to create a new RAVING FAN for your company and for your job position too. Try it next time ... it really works!

So, the next time you hear a client (or your boss) getting ready to complain
about something, jump right in with both feet and turn that complaint into an opportunity to stand out in a crowd. You will surprise them all and shine like a star!

At Red Rock, we hear you and we listen because YOU are our #1 priority. Try us on your next print project and experience the Red Rock difference!

Happy Memorial Day ...

Memorial Day was originally called “Decoration Day” after the Civil War to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers.

Many of us celebrate by either grilling out, going to a friend's bar-b-que, chilling at the beach (or doing whatever we want to with the extra time off), but for some people such as the Boy Scouts, they still visit Veteran's cemeteries and lay flowers at graves all across the nation. Really nice stuff.

I am always grateful to the men and women who have served and died to protect us. If we take a minute to look around, we will always realize that living free has been (and always will be) the best way to live.

So whatever you do this weekend, please take the time to be thankful and appreciative to those who have allowed us these wonderful things. Never forget them.

Happy Memorial Day.

Happy Friday ...

I hope everyone had a great week.

Friday's are funny in a way ... there's a different "vibe" in the workplace on Fridays. Everyone is in a better mood. Smiles are easier to come by and clients are quicker to do business because of it.

No wonder, when that closing bell sounds, it's off to enjoy your own time ... maybe the beach, to Happy Hour, to family events, soccer games, exercise, parties, whatever ... it's play time!

If there was only a way to make every other day feel like a Friday... Hmmmm .....

The GOOD news is, there is!

... by being HELPFUL - act with your clients as if every day is Friday ... even if there’s no immediate profit in it. Believe me, it will payoff off in the long run.

When you go out of your way to help a client with a problem, they will tell countless people about you ... when they need a service, who do you think they will call? That's right, you.

So, enjoy your day today ... and come Monday, make every day feel like Friday ... your clients will love it!!!

Do Not Make Promises You Can't Keep

Unless You Plan On Keeping Them …

... do not “TRY” to keep them.

The word “try” only means that you will NOT deliver what you promised your client. Period.

Many vendors and suppliers use the word “try” as an excuse for poor service, missed deadlines, over-promising and under-delivering.

You either WILL deliver or you won’t. It’s really that simple.

"Reliability" is critical to building any good relationship and great customer service is no exception. If you say, “Your order will be delivered on Thursday”, make sure it is delivered on Thursday. Otherwise, don’t say it.

The same rule applies to appointments, personal deadlines, etc. Think before you promise because there is nothing that annoys a customer more than a broken promise.

At Red Rock, WE DELIVER WHAT WE PROMISE … It’s what separates us from the pack.

Keep Your Eye On The Ball!

How do you stay motivated to achieve your goals?

The answer … KEEP YOUR EYES ON IT!

Never lose site of what you are working towards and always ask yourself before every decision you make … "does this decision get me closer to my goal?"

Keep in mind the rewards you will reap when you finally get there. They may seem so far in the future at times (and nearly impossible to reach) unless you break them down into smaller steps that allow you to easily track your progress.

Setting goals in small steps will keep you motivated to continue toward the "big project" as you chart your progress … it will make it feel attainable and FUN.

So, go ahead, set your sights high because even if you fall a little short, look how far ahead you will be.
