Happy Memorial Day ...

Memorial Day was originally called “Decoration Day” after the Civil War to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers.

Many of us celebrate by either grilling out, going to a friend's bar-b-que, chilling at the beach (or doing whatever we want to with the extra time off), but for some people such as the Boy Scouts, they still visit Veteran's cemeteries and lay flowers at graves all across the nation. Really nice stuff.

I am always grateful to the men and women who have served and died to protect us. If we take a minute to look around, we will always realize that living free has been (and always will be) the best way to live.

So whatever you do this weekend, please take the time to be thankful and appreciative to those who have allowed us these wonderful things. Never forget them.

Happy Memorial Day.
