Seaglass ... A true gem!

On the Jersey Shore, walking the beach and collecting sea glass is a favorite hobby of many.

It's truly amazing ... Seaglass starts it’s journey as nothing more than broken glass in the ocean. It is tumbled and tossed around in the salt water and sand until these colorful seashore gems wash up on shore to the treasure hunters delight.

I've walked many beaches around the country and it seems that sea glass, just like Bruce Springsteen, Frank Sinatra, Pork Roll, Salt Water Taffy (and many other New Jersey favorites), is a native New Jersey gem. Clearly, I am proud of my Garden State roots!
